Responsibilities
- Assist the engineers in the planning, execution, and finalisation of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes the coordination of resources including, third-party contractors, and/or consultants to deliver projects according to plans
- Assist with the definition of the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its lifecycle
- Liaise with authorities and utility agencies to obtain project approvals
- Compiling reports, registers, fortnightly meetings, and issuing of minutes
- Preparation of works contracts
- Friendly and professional interactions with clients where appropriate
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with EHS policies and Quality Assurance documentation
- Preparation of estimate of quantities and tender documentation
- Assisting with site inspections and progress reports of site works including the use of technologies where required
- Review and compile contractor quality assurance documentation
- Adoption, promotion, and adherence to the Orion Quality Management (QMS) and Work Health & Safety (WHS) Systems.
Skills and Expertise
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Construction Management or working towards completing
- General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to focus, prioritise and be open to feedback
- Be curious and have the desire to learn
- Experience using MS Office, MS Project and Basic AutoCAD (desirable)
