Position Overview:
MCR is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting both face-to-face and remote workers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer support skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be integral in ensuring our technological infrastructure runs smoothly, enabling our staff to perform their roles efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to employees in person, remotely, and over the phone.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Set up and configure new hardware and software.
- Maintain and update existing IT systems and infrastructure.
- Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Assist with IT projects and initiatives to improve company technology.
- Ensure the security of IT systems by following company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Experience with setting up and configuring hardware and software.
- Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stay current with new technology trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience are a plus.
