We have a new opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our Integrated Solutions Group!
The Integrated Solutions Group contributes to Urban Utilities’ purpose and vision and enhances the liveability of our communities through safeguarding financial and economic sustainability of the business, planning to meet the needs of our customers and management of the long-term water cycle and our environmental responsibilities.
Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, the Graduate Engineer will assist in the delivery of the 5-year capital program across the region through an integrated capital delivery framework. Assisting Program Delivery Managers and Project Managers for the efficient “end to end" design and delivery of program and project solutions identified in Strategic Business Cases, Renewal programs or emergent works.
Some of your accountabilities will include:
- Contributes towards the governance and management of capital program, supporting the implementation and on-going operation of a capital program organisation, ensuring delivery of effective services/resources in line with current and planned demand.
- Contribute towards maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, delivery partners, external contractors, to ensure program and project outcomes are met in the solutions development and delivery phase and expectations are managed.
- Provide technical advice and support to the Program Delivery Manager and external partners to ensure proposed solutions are fit for purpose through all phases of the project delivery cycle.
- Drive a culture of innovation across Urban Utilities integrated Delivery Partners. Challenging the status quo, driving sustainability and customer value into project investment lifecycle decision making, to ensure achievement of Urban Utilities’ strategic goals
- Demonstrates visible safety leadership with a presence on construction sites and championing safe behaviours. Working closely with our integrated partners to ensure safety performance is understood, insights are gained with lessons learnt being shared.
About You
- Bachelor of Engineering of any related discipline
- Proven experience in building and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
- Builds partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sustainable, efficient, and safe project outcomes
- previous project designed and construction experience seen as highly advantageous
