Form of workWe have an exciting position available to be part of our 2024 Graduate Program in our Canberra based mixed practice Personal Injury and Abuse Law team. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience within a supportive environment, while participating in a nationally run year-long training program that will, on completion, prepare you for a fulfilling career as a Solicitor.

- Working closely with a mentor to gain experience within a legal practice by assisting in representing their clients and providing accurate legal advice.
- Developing a proficient ability to effectively assess claims including liability and quantum.
- Cultivating strong relationships with our clients and peers through exceptional communication and clear management of expectations.
- Preparing legal documentation with a high degree of detail and assist with running a file load with a keen level of commercial and fiscal awareness.
To thrive in this role, you’ll:
- Be a Law graduate, preferably during the 2023 calendar year.
- Have strong academic results and a thirst for knowledge in the plaintiff law space.
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a genuine interest in Shine’s areas of practice.
- Bring diversity of experience, and evidence of extra-curricular activities such as volunteering, community work and being an active members of associations will be favourably considered, as will paid and non-paid work experience in the legal field.
