The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

This role is responsible for supporting the Mechanical Engineering activities within the Snowy 2.0 project. The role's primary purpose is to assist in designing, analysing, and implementing mechanical systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Process Engineering or a related field.
- Eligibility for or membership in a relevant engineering association or body.
- White Card.
- No prior professional experience required, open to recent graduates.
- Internships, co-op placements or project experience related to Mechanical Engineering will be an advantage.
- Experience with CAD software and engineering analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong theoretical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using CAD software for drafting and design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Eagerness to learn and apply new skills.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced project environments.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Assist designing mechanical components and systems for the tunnelling project.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to analyse and modify designs based on project requirements and constraints.
- Perform calculations and simulations to verify mechanical designs and ensure their feasibility.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software.
- Support the implementation and installation of mechanical systems on-site.
- Contribute to project meetings and discussions to provide insights and updates on mechanical design progress.
- Participate in design reviews and identify potential design improvements.
- Assist in creating and maintaining engineering documentation, reports, and records.
- Comply with project safety and quality standards in all Mechanical Engineering activities.
- Comply with Future Generation Joint Venture policies and procedures as amended from time to time.
