ARM is an internationally renowned practice at the forefront of Architecture, urban, and interior design, boasting studios across Australia. Known for our innovative approach, creativity, and the unique ability to produce striking and memorable designs regardless of budget constraints, we seek to expand our Queensland team.
We're inviting a Graduate of Architecture to join our Gold Coast studio on a full – or part-time (minimum 4 days/week) basis.
About You:
- You bring 2+ years of experience working in an architecture practice (either as a student or graduate).
- You bring experience working on large-scale public, educational, or commercial projects.
- Your presentation skills are exemplary, with proficiency in preparing design concept presentations to a high standard.
- You're adept in Rhino. Revit skills are a bonus.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite is essential.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- A collaborative team player, capable of working with colleagues, clients, and subconsultants harmoniously.
- If you are not a citizen or permanent resident, you have a valid visa and meet all requirements to work in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide timely and high-quality support on early-stage design work, including:
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct detailed analysis to assess the viability of projects, considering factors such as planning laws, environmental restrictions, massing and staging options.
- Concept Design: Work with the project team to develop innovative and practical initial design concepts that align with client requirements, project goals, and sustainability considerations. This includes 3D modelling in Rhino and production of diagrams.
- Schematic Design: Produce schematic drawings and models that outline the general scope, conceptual design, scale, and relationships among project components.
- Competitions: Participate in architectural competitions, contributing creative design solutions and preparing presentation materials under tight deadlines.
- Other Front-End Activities: Engage in pre-design tasks such as site analysis and research on precedents, materials, and products.
