As a Planning Graduate at Melton, you’ll kick start your planning career by:

  • Undertaking rotations in our Statutory Planning, Major Developments, and City Strategy teams.
  • Being exposed to a variety of planning matters relevant to Growth Area Planning, including dealing with rural, residential, industrial and commercial land use and development, heritage matters, subdivision, Precinct Structure Plans and policy work.
  • Participate in tailored graduate learning and development opportunities.
  • Be supported and mentored throughout your graduate rotation to assist in your career development.
  • Be encouraged to attend key industry events and network opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Graduate Planner at Melton you will undertake rotations in our Statutory Planning, Major Developments and City Strategy teams. In these rotations you will:
  • Manage a range of Town Planning applications in both established and growth areas within the Municipality
  • Assist with customer service enquires relating to planning matters.
  • Assist in the preparation of strategic planning studies and planning scheme amendments
  • Assist in the preparation of Precinct Structure Plans

  • A tertiary qualification in Urban Planning or a related discipline.
  • No more than 2 year's experience in a Planning role.
  • Certification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), project management, or related fields can be advantageous.
  • Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
