AddressThe Victorian Auditor-General’s Office (VAGO) is a critical part of the State’s integrity system. Independent to Parliament, VAGO ensures the accountability of the Victorian Government through audits and assurance reviews of public sector agencies.
Our Financial Audit (FA) division provides independent assurance to Parliament that our public sector agencies provide reliable, relevant, and fair financial information in their reporting, in accordance with the Australian Accounting Standards and other relevant legislation.

You will directly contribute to the delivery of our financial audits while undertaking a comprehensive training program in your first year. This will provide a solid foundation to build a successful career in audit.
WHAT YOU HAVE STUDIEDWhile most of our team members are accountants, we also offer an alternative pathway for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) graduates interested in financial audit.
We welcome both graduates who have followed traditional accounting study pathway at University and STEM graduates eligible to undertake a foundation program with CA or CPA.

LIFE AFTER THE GRADUATE PROGRAMAfter your 12 months as a Financial Audit Graduate, the opportunities continue! Subject to performance, you will have a permanent ongoing Auditor role in the Financial Audit Division, and we will continue to support your career development and offer study assistance for further education.
