About the Opportunity
SafeWork SA (SWSA) is responsible for providing work health and safety, public safety and state-based industrial relations services across South Australia. As a regulator, Investigators and Inspectors ensure work health and safety, and public safety standards are met and appropriate action is taken when breaches of laws are detected.
Working closely with the Psychosocial Industrial Team, the primary purpose of the Graduate Psychosocial is to provide support to the Psychosocial and Industrial Team to help administer and enforce the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (SA) (“WHS Act”), the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012, and approved codes of practice.
The Graduate Psychosocial will establish rapport and build strong working relationships to contribute to the design, development and implementation of initiatives, programs, and projects to support the effective regulation of psychosocial hazards in South Australian workplaces.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services General Employment Probity Check. A renewal will be required every three years.
Out of hours work will be required on an ad hoc basis.
Some intra and interstate travel requiring overnight absences may be required.
