About the Opportunity:

As a Graduate Software Engineer specialising in full-stack development, you'll play a role in every step of creating applications – from designing and coding to testing, launching, and maintaining. Collaborating with different teams, you'll help build apps that are scalable, strong, and easy to use. With support from our GM of Technology, this role lets you improve your skills in both front-end and back-end development, while developing scalable, robust and user-friendly applications and making an impact on our project and products.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing, developing and implementing web and mobile apps using languages like JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement creative solutions for our platform.
  • Ensure technical feasibility of UX/UI designs are optimised for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Work on back end development including API design and database management.
  • Take part in code reviews, maintain code quality, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and trends in full-stack development and suggest their use where beneficial.
About the Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience, with a passion for Software Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of software development concepts and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, React, JSON and Node.js or Python.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Angular, Flutter, XML, jQuery, PHP, or Ruby is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Cloud technologies such as AWS/GCP, EC2, VM, Lambda, Fargate, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Serverless, and Terraform (beneficial but not essential.)
  • Familiarity with database technologies (beneficial not essential.)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
