Job Description
Morgan Consulting Engineers are looking for a recent Bachelor of Civil Engineering graduate for a permanent, long term position in our residential housing division. The role offers a motivated person the opportunity to join the team of Structural Engineers to assist in the delivery of quality Structural Engineering consultancy services for residential, commercial and industrial developments.
The role is now available and is ready for an immediate start for the right applicant.
The Role
- Design of a wide range of structures
- Checking the design and documentation of yourself and others
- Carrying out site inspections of projects designed by yourself and others
- Carrying out site visits to assist in the design process
- Liaising with builders, other consultants and clients
- Assisting our soil tester in completing soil tests during busy periods
What you need
- Recent completion of a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree at an Australian University. A Major in structures would be an advantage
- Eligibility for Graduate Membership of Engineers Australia
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and 3D Frame Analysis software
- Strong analytical skills to develop effective and innovative solutions
- The ability to manage your workload to achieve project deliverables
- A good attention to detail
- Enthusiasm to learn
- Desire to build your career in a supportive, progressive organisation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to develop, maintain and enhance client relationships
- The ability to follow quality and HS&E procedures
- Australian Permanent Residency/Citizenship is essential
