About the role
The purpose of the Graduate Talent Pathways Officer role will be to collaborate with a variety of Universities to facilitate the connection of pre-graduate and graduate candidate employment opportunities within Council by providing candidates a chance to apply and embed their education.
Together with key stakeholders the successful incumbent will need to continuously monitor and review the effectiveness of the programs within Council to ensure a positive development and experience opportunity for both the candidates and hosting branch.
This role would be suitable for someone with high attention to detail as you will be managing and maintaining various human resource systems, position data for Talent Pathways, pre-employment pathways and related programs.
Essential requirements of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Tertiary qualifications desired and/or significant experience relating to the delivery of graduate pathway or related programs (e.g. traineeships, apprenticeships, cadetships).
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Higher Education system, including placement practices and requirements
- Have flexibility to assist with occasional events outside of standard business hours
- Possess a current ‘C’ class drivers licence
- Possess fundamental oral, written and administrative communication, including excellent telephone and numeracy skills
- Attention to detail and organisational skills in a fast-paced team environment
- Computer literate with keyboard skills and knowledge of software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to work productively as part of a high performing team to ensure achievement of outcomes including building, maintaining and fostering good relationships with colleagues, internal branches and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to successfully pass all required employment background checks
