About the RoleABC News are looking for an experienced
Graphic Designer to support the production of ABC News content by creating high quality graphics design across broadcast and digital platforms.Reporting to the NSW Metro Editor you will:
- Use a range of equipment, design, research, produce and edit high-quality graphics and animation to meet to tight deadlines.
- Develop technical and creative capabilities in a collaborative team environment.
- Keep up to date with style changes and technological developments in graphic design.
- Monitor graphics equipment and report faults to ensure operations meets broadcast and digital standards.
About YouYou will have proven extensive graphic design experience preferably in the media industry and highly advanced skills and comprehensive knowledge of graphics production techniques and software capabilities for News.
You will also have:- Comprehensive skills and well-developed knowledge of graphics production techniques and software capabilities.
- The ability to work creatively with reporters, editors and producers to communicate complex ideas in clear visual format.
- Capacity to work effectively within tight operational deadlines both independently and as part of a team, exercising sound independent judgement.
- Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of news and current issues in Sydney and New South Wales, and how to reach diverse audiences
