Overview
Provide professional expertise in assessing and developing visual content in workplace learning and development solutions for the company's workforce. Applicant must be creative and self-motivated, with a keen visual sense and passion for effective design.
The designer will work with multi-disciplinary teams, observing, listening, researching and brainstorming. The applicant must effectively translate stakeholders’ ideas into engaging visuals. It is the designer's responsibility to communicate ideas via storyboards, presentations, web media, print media and prototypes. Ideas will be communicated clearly and effectively, verbally and visually, internally as well as externally with attention to detail. Must have the ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines, possibly working after hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, implements, and evaluates all visual content for learning, development, and performance solutions.
- Designs and develops print materials, video production, animation, and visual effects.
- Translates strategic objectives into visual design elements.
- Identifies opportunities to implement graphic improvements that increase effectiveness of curriculum.
- Develop and implement visual standards and procedures to ensure the relevance of learning content.
- Develop and maintain graphic library for department use.
- Manage brand consistency with stakeholder input.
- Design and enhance overall look and style of publications and advertising campaigns.
- Identify resources and partners that can enhance department content and solutions.
- Uses Microsoft Office products to develop professional documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design, or similar field.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience working in a creative environment.
- Experience with: Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk Maya & Mudbox, Video & Motion Graphics, Unreal Game Engine, Avid/Final Cut Pro software, MAC operating systems, Music and sound effects editing platforms, High level of English reading, listening, writing, and speaking proficiency.
- Highly experienced in the use of publishing platforms such as Adobe, Affinity Designer, Designer, Sketch and Microsoft Publisher.
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of composition, components and concepts.
- Ability to generate new and original ideas within the parameters of stated objectives.
- Ability to relate and partner with multiple team members to produce effective outcomes.
- Remain flexible with changes in project scope, deadlines and resources.
- Must have a portfolio demonstrating skills
