GRAPHIC DESIGNER
IWC is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate concepts into captivating designs. The Graphic Designer will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our brands and bringing our ideas to life across various platforms.
ABOUT IWC:
IWC is an Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-accredited health and wellbeing organisation that delivers inclusive services to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett.POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Create visually compelling designs for print and digital media, including but not limited to branding materials, marketing collateral, social media graphics, presentations, and website assets.
- Collaborate with teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
- Take ownership of projects from initial concept to final production, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and quality standards.
- Stay current with design trends, techniques, and software to enhance skills and creative output continually.
- Provide creative input and contribute to brainstorming sessions and project ideation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field (is preferred but not essential).
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- A current driver's licence is essential or ability to obtain.
- A First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card QLD)* or ability to obtain.
- A Federal Police Check or ability to obtain.
* No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to hold a valid blue card before they start work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.
SALARY PACKAGE:
Your Salary Package is made up of the following: -
- Salary Sacrifice Packaging valued up to $15,990 per annum – adding approximately $4,000 to your take-home pay (available after completion of probation).
- Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,600 per annum (available after completion of probation)
- Superannuation as per NES.
- Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%
