Graphic Designer

Deaf Connect is seeking a Graphic Designer to support two distinct brands, and champion our brand guidelines across print and digital assets. 

In consultation with the Marketing and Sales (Marsales) team, this role is responsible for developing graphic assets for inclusion in sales and marketing campaigns. 

As a Graphic Designer you will deliver a range graphic design elements including document design, assets for digital marketing channels and social media organic content for both Deaf Connect, and the Deaf Lottery. 

You will collaborate with our Marsales team, and with colleagues in other Deaf Connect Business Units, to achieve success with inclusivity, creative flair and fundamental design principles.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

• Supports the development of and maintains the organisations ongoing brand style guide 
• Develops high quality graphic elements for a range of audiences.
• Works with various Marsales team members for the growth of the Deaf Connect brand and new innovative initiatives.
• Supports the development of graphic elements for new brands under the Deaf Connect family of brands.
• Develops and maintains effective industry and sector networks to support communications and engagement strategy and initiatives.

About You 

In your application, let us know if you have these key skills and experience:

• Previous study of, or high level experience in graphic design or a closely related field.
• Experience and understanding of contemporary digital design, practices and associated technologies.
• Experience with the Adobe suite of products, or a preferred range of design tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams in planning, implementing and managing design projects. 
• High level communication skills and an ability to analyse, collate and present information and recommendations.
• A willingness to learn Auslan, if it is not already known. 

You should also let us know if you have these other great skills:

• Lived experience of Deafness, or experience working in organisations which support Deafness. 
• Experience in video editing.
• Experience in content creation and videography. 
• Experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers, business partners and stakeholders.
