This is a part-time position.

This position is with an Australian fashion brand, cherished and worn by many. Our client prides themselves on their innovative designs and commitment to staying ahead of fashion trends. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fashion Trends and Design Research: Conduct thorough research on current fashion trends, including catwalks, competitors, and street styles.
  • Analyze and identify key colors, shapes, textiles, materials, and processes.
  • Create and present mood boards reflecting the latest trends.
  • Draw inspiration from various sources such as art, design, architecture, and world events to develop innovative fashion concepts.
  • Textile Artwork and Design: Develop original textile designs and artwork for trims.
  • Research and develop core colors and colorways and create repeat yardage and placement artwork.
  • Design Development: Lead the development of original artwork from concept to production.
  • Manage trackers and in-house fabric summaries.
  • Coordinate with overseas factories, review S/O's, and attend fits for placement artwork.
  • Demonstrate effective time management and meet deadlines consistently
  • Collaborate with the team to manage and create presentation books.
  • Design trend pages, layouts, and write collection copy. Provide graphics support for the online sales platform.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in textile design.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Suite.
  • Strong understanding of women's fashion, swimwear, beachwear, accessories, and kidswear
  • Track record of success with best-selling prints and styles each season
