Our client is currently seeking a skilled Grid Commissioning Engineer with expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to join their dynamic team in either Melbourne or Sydney.
In this role, the Grid Commissioning Engineer will be instrumental in overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of BESS projects, ensuring they adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver top-quality solutions that contribute to the advancement of sustainable energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute commissioning activities for BESS projects, including system integration, functional testing, and performance validation.
• Conduct comprehensive site assessments to evaluate technical requirements for grid connection and integration.
• Develop detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and documentation in alignment with project specifications and client expectations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with project stakeholders to devise effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance and ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies to continuously enhance expertise and contribute to innovation within the field.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully commissioning BESS projects, preferably within a grid-connected environment.
• In-depth understanding of power systems, energy storage technologies, and principles of grid integration.
• Proficiency in utilizing testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and data analysis software.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
