Grid Integration Specialist

Design & Build Recruitment has partnered with one the leading renewable energy businesses in Australia, who have committed to a multi-billion investment to build major Wind, Solar, BESS and Hybrid Generation plants in the coming years.

This leading renewable energy business are looking to bring a Grid Integration Specialist in to the team, who will manage the grid connection for a portfolio of renewable energy projects worth up to billions of dollars. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in the electrical engineering field and a proven track record of power system studies and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Grid Integrated Specialist to join a global market leader in their expansion in Australia in a diverse role working on prestige projects.

Key Responsibilities for the Grid Integration Specialist:

• Manage the Grid Connection work steam for the development projects including the development of connection applications, registrations, and commissioning process for several projects.
• Leading the communication with AEMO & the NSP in negotiating of the GPS.
• Manage grid consultant engagements to ensure the delivery of connection packages on time and budget.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagements and working relationships.
• Collaborate with the Development, Design & Construction teams to ensure clear communication of connection requirements to the project.
• Support the negotiations of project supply contracts & and connection agreements.

Requirements for the Grid Integration Specialist:

• 5 + years of experience in the energy industry within the NEM in Australia.
• Relevant tertiary education in Electrical Engineering or other relevant education.
• Demonstrated experience in managing the grid connection work stream for developments projects in the renewable energy sector.
• Experience in negotiating contracts with OEM’s.
• Excellent communication skills.
