With an increased focus on these key factors, my client is looking to hire two electrical & control systems (automation) engineers, who will be provided with opportunities to grow into leadership positions and take ownership over NPD & custom solutions projects. Reporting into the Grinding Applications Team lead, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within a cross-functional team environment, providing creatively lead solutions across new product development (NPD) and custom solutions projects.
- Liaise with a range of software, controls, mechanical design engineers to provide design solutions (i.e., new design solutions, and re-design of existing products) that support grinding design activities.
- Work to validate customer requirements by analysing data and ensuring the application is fit-for-purpose.
- Creation of test plans (i.e., CVP&R and DVP&R) which are tailored to each customer design.
- Involvement across issue triaging, which includes R&D, development, and manufacturing tasks, and working to develop & validate those solutions according to requirements.
- Requires tertiary qualifications, including but not limited to, Bachelor of Mechatronics/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
- At least 5 years’ worth of hands-on project experience, developing a range of machinery or working to develop specific machine tooling solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working with GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2009 standards.
- Demonstrated experience with certain technical problem-solving techniques including root cause analysis and issue triaging.
- Experience with machine tooling and diagnostics is desirable.
- Ability to learn quickly and come up with out-of-the-box solutions to very practical problems.
- Strong verbal communication and experience working within a highly cross-functional team environment
