About the role:
Our store in Shepparton has been an integral part of the community since for over 100 years. This is a rare chance to combine your passion and knowledge with your retail leadership experience while still progressing your career. The position is very much “hands on” and the applicant should be able to lead by example, particularly in manual movement of stock and shelf replenishment. You’ll take pride in ensuring that the store is well stocked and exceptionally presented, as well as welcoming and engaging for our customers.
As a Grocery / Duty Manager you are responsible for the following tasks:
- Day-to-day running of the grocery department
- Developing and coaching your team
- Meeting sales targets, cost control and rostering of the Grocery Team
- Presentation, merchandising and stock management
- Meet audit and compliance standards
- Assist and work alongside the Store and Assistant Manager with all operations of the business
- Assisting in Storeroom and Delivery duties
- Experience with electronic stock ordering
- Ordering over and above promotions & special buys
- Merchandising planning of all Advertised and Instore specials
- Experience in dealing with company representatives
- General computer skills
- Demonstrated experience in management, employee supervision and rostering
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
Forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
A police check is required for this role.
