Maxima are long term suppliers to a variety of cemeteries across Adelaide’s metropolitan areas.
We are currently recruiting a Groundsperson to work for a prominent cemetery in Adelaide’s North – Western suburbs. This position is a casual position; however, long term opportunities are available for the right candidate.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role will suit people who have the ability to show empathy and are comfortable working in a cemetery environment.
Duties include:
- General grounds and garden maintenance
- Operate general horticultural equipment such as brush cutters and ride on mowers
- Assist with grave digging under direct supervision
- Operate excavators and other earthmoving equipment
THE REQUIREMENTS:
- Driver’s License (essential)
- White Card (essential)
- Evidence of the Covid -19 Vaccination (Essential)
- Horticulture/ Gardening experience (preferred)
- Excavator ticket/experience (desired)
- Willing to undergo and pass medical and D/A test
- Current National Police Clearance (Or willing to obtain)
ABOUT YOU:
Ideally you have cemetery experience however a general background in grounds / garden maintenance will be looked upon favourably.
You would also consider yourself to have the following:
- A can-do attitude
- A solid work ethic - with physical fitness to match
- A friendly customer service approach
- Experience operating horticulture equipment
