Address- $31.07 per hour
- Full Time - 7.6 hours per day, 5 days a week
Your Role
As a Grounds & Maintenance Officer, your role will assist in the upkeep and maintenance requirements of the Village.
Your tasks will include:
- Perform gardening duties including mowing of all lawns, and ensuring edges and hedges are trimmed appropriately
- Maintain the village grounds, interior, and building surrounds in a neat, clean, tidy and presentable condition
- Manage garbage disposal and maintain cleanliness of outside areas/pool areas
- Assist with general maintenance of the property, general care and securing of equipment
- Report on any hazards or security breaches to the Retirement Village Manager
- Maintain the village's relevant equipment and supplies and arrange replacement when necessary
- Perform driving duties of Ozcare vehicles including courier and delivery duties (as required)

Role Requirements
- Current Police Screening Certificate
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
- Be vaccinated (and maintain up-to-date vaccinations) against Influenza and Covid-19
- Certificate III or equivalent experience in a related area and/or A trade Qualification in the building industry e.g. Carpentry/building (desirable)
- Demonstrated relevant experience in undertaking gardening duties and the maintenance of the grounds
- Ability to empathise with disadvantaged and/or older persons
- Experience in stock management
- Good computer and mobile device skills
