Grounds and Maintenance Officer is responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient facilities and grounds maintenance service and assisting with the planning and development of the site.
What you will do (key outcomes)
- Completing facilities and Grounds and Maintenance tasks as required
- Performing general gardening duties including preparation and Maintenance of gardens, lawns, recreation areas
- Overseeing pool facilities and Maintenance of the pool
- Maintaining paths, courtyards, open spaces, watering and fertilizing lawns and gardens
- Undertaking routine maintenance of machinery and tools
- Logging maintenance procedures undertaken and establishing priorities for further maintenance, prioritising work
- Planning internal preventative maintenance on weekly basis and producing weekly reports
- Emergency site cleaning, driving buses to inspections, driving students to school and assisting in shifting, set-up and removal of furniture and equipment
- Undertaking mandatory monthly bus inspections in accordance with the code of practice for buses

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
