Grounds Officer

To commence as soon as possible

The role 

We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced person to carry out grounds and garden maintenance and other related tasks to support our Maintenance and Grounds team.

This is a full-time position to commence as soon as possible.

To be successful in this position, you will need to;

1. Have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Bring a customer service approach to your work.
3. Excellent knowledge of the care and maintenance of gardens, small lawn areas and large sporting fields.
4. Be able to operate a range of tools and equipment safely and effectively.
5. Be able to carry out a range of manual tasks relevant to the work area.
6. Have a working knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards and requirements.
7. Horticulture qualifications, including chemical safety certifications are highly desirable.
8. Be able to work effectively as a part of a small team as well as the ability to work independently.
9. Have an Open class, manual driver’s licence.
10. Have the ability to obtain a Blue Card for child-related employment in Queensland.

4. Contact details of at least two professional referees.  At least one referee should be a recent line manager.
