The role
We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced person to carry out grounds and garden maintenance and other related tasks to support our Maintenance and Grounds team.
This is a full-time position to commence as soon as possible.
To be successful in this position, you will need to;
- Have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bring a customer service approach to your work.
- Excellent knowledge of the care and maintenance of gardens, small lawn areas and large sporting fields.
- Be able to operate a range of tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Be able to carry out a range of manual tasks relevant to the work area.
- Have a working knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards and requirements.
- Horticulture qualifications, including chemical safety certifications are highly desirable.
- Be able to work effectively as a part of a small team as well as the ability to work independently.
- Have an Open class, manual driver’s licence.
- Have the ability to obtain a Blue Card for child-related employment in Queensland.
