AddressGrounds and Maintenance team member required for Local private Ipswich School, responsible for a diverse range of building and grounds maintenance and cleaning tasks associated with the day to day functioning. Reporting to the Business Manager
Duties of the role may include
- Using and Maintaining fleet of ground and garden care equipment
- Meeting and discussion with the Grounds and Maintenance Manager to discuss maintenance requests and weekly works required
- Identify and report defects and hazards to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager.
- Mowing, edging, weeding and watering, planting, cleaning, moving furniture to set up for assembly and functions
- Undertake and assist with basic and routine building maintenance and minor repairs to fixtures. (as such a previous trade or TA history would be an advantage)
You will need
- A blue card for Paid work
- A valid drivers licence (LR truck licence and advantage)
- Experience with lawn and garden care and the machinery required
- Knowledge of lawn care chemicals ACDC licence an advantage
- A patient personality and ability to interact in a positive way with staff and students
- A reasonable level of fitness to be able to complete normal tasks
