The Role:

Cater Care Australia seeks to appoint 1 Permanent Groundsperson role at our Mine Site where Jellinbah in Blackwater is the Point of Hire, Qld. Working 5 days ON 2 days OFF, Dayshift 10hrs daily. DIDO/FIFO role from Blackwater, Emerald, Bluff or Dingo Locals ONLY.

What This Role Involves:

Cater Care Services are seeking hospitality professionals for Grounds Person / Utility roles at our mining village Clarke Creek Wind Farm Mining in Clarke Creek and Local Suburbs (3 hours max distance) ONLY.  Applications outside of these locations will not be considered. Duties may include the below;

• Upkeep of the village grounds including - mowing, edging and gardening
• Repair and basic trades work across the village 
• Common Area Cleaning - emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning 
• Mine Site Cleaning- cleaning offices, crib huts, bathhouses

The Ideal Applicant Will Have:

• Previous grounds and maintenance experience in a hospitality environment
• Similar experience within a remote environment is highly regarded
• Ability to work well with other team members
• A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
• A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Ability to understand and comply with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks
• Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
• Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather
• MUST hold a manual drivers’ license and forklift ticket
