About the team
City of Gold Coast manages eight cemeteries across the City, and this role will be part of a team providing a vital and valued service to the community. We're seeking a team member who is deeply committed to our community and passionate about delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards in cemetery venue presentation.
About your new role
As part of our cemeteries operational team based at the Southport Lawn Cemetery, you'll have the unique opportunity to work across all eight city-run cemeteries along the coast. Your daily tasks will vary, spanning various locations and responsibilities, from proactive maintenance to timely interment preparations and landscape enhancements. In this dynamic role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring our facilities meet community standards, making every day diverse and rewarding.

About you
To excel in this position, you'll need to be resilient and adaptable, with effective communication and teamwork skills. Sensitivity to diverse cultural perspectives on death and grief is essential, along with organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. Experience with machinery and horticulture is desirable, as you'll thrive in outdoor settings and tight timelines, maintaining compassion and resilience throughout your work.
