Join Our Team as a Stadium Grounds Person and Event Facilitator!
Are you a turf enthusiast with a knack for facilitating exceptional events? BB Print Stadium is seeking a Stadium Grounds Person to not only maintain our Stadium Grounds but also elevate event experiences through seamless facilitation and catering support.
Position Objective:
In this role, you'll meticulously maintain and preserve the Stadium Grounds while also playing a pivotal role in event delivery. Working under limited direction, you'll ensure the playing surface and overall venue meet the highest standards, enhancing the experience for all event attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support event staff and volunteers in organizing and executing successful events, providing expertise as a Duty Manager and Venue Supervisor.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure goods necessary for services and assist catering and production services as required.
- Maintain the playing field according to National Rugby League (NRL) facilities policy, guidelines, and legislative regulations, ensuring optimal conditions for events.
- Employ skilled horticultural practices to manage the grounds effectively, encompassing pruning, mowing, weeding, chemical application, and general maintenance.
- Setup the venue for each event, meeting clients' specifications and ensuring a polished presentation that leaves a lasting impression.
- Monitor and report any potential hazards or safety concerns at BB Print Stadium, prioritizing a secure environment for all.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- ACDC chemical distribution license or ability to acquire.
- QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a client-centric approach.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team, managing time effectively to prioritize tasks.
- Workplace Health and Safety Act 2011 knowledge.
- Understanding of cleaning chemicals and practices used to maintain public amenities.
Special Requirements:
- Occasional out-of-hours work (including weekends).
- Occasional local travel.
- Requirement to undertake physical work in various outdoor environments.
- Emergency management response as needed.
