Summary:
Join our team as a Grounds and Gardens Person responsible for maintaining and enhancing the hospital grounds and gardens at Modbury Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital. Reporting to the Key Account Manager, you will perform various maintenance tasks ensuring compliance with safety standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to processes.
- Adhere to occupational health and safety protocols, including hazard identification and risk management.
- Undertake general gardening duties such as weeding, mulching, planting, and irrigation maintenance.
- Execute maintenance programs and respond promptly to customer requests to minimize disruptions.
- Conduct site inspections, identify faults, and perform repairs as necessary.
- Work independently with exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Ability to work independently with strong time management skills.
- Commitment to safety practices and ability to identify hazards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Class C/Open Driver's License, Police Check, and Working with Children Check.
- Previous experience in grounds and garden maintenance.
- Experience working at heights and procuring resources for gardening tasks.
Desirable:
- Cert III in Horticulture.
- Familiarity with Safe Work Practices.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Own transport and ability to work autonomously.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
