We are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Group Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a permanent role reporting to the Group Financial Controller.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Preparing the month-end group accounting process and assist in month-end consolidation process including acquisition accounting.
- Assisting with the maintenance and improvement of the financial reporting consolidation software (OneStream).
- Assisting in preparation of the group’s consolidated monthly management reports and year-end statutory reports.
- Liasing with the external auditors for the year-end audit process for the Group.
- Treasury admin – liaising with the bank relating to administrator tasks.
- Assisting with assessment, including documentation, of the impact of various Accounting Standards (including AASB 3, AASB 15 and AASB 16)
- Drive continuous process improvement.
- Assisting with company secretarial and corporate governance requirements, such as ASIC lodgements and board resolutions, and other corporate accounting activities.
About you:
- CA/CPA qualified within the last 12 months.
- At least 3 years of Big 4 accounting firm experience.
- Experience with OneStream will be highly regarded.
- Strong excel skills.
- Comfortable being a self-starter who can work independently with a high level of initiative.
- Willingness to be involved and do tasks as necessary.
- Must enjoy working on different projects and able to work in a fast pace environment.
