Group Chief Finance Officer

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900
About the role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is part of the Group Executive Leadership Team and will have responsibility for financial aspects of Mater operations, including those related to strategy development; budget preparation; monitoring and forecasting financial and operational performance; establishing and improving financial controls and policies; management of cash flow, working capital and debt; and the accurate recording of revenue and expenditure.
The role will also need to ensure that all functional leaders located within the various business operations across Mater (including Health, Research, Education, Foundation & Holy Cross Services) are provided with financial expertise and guidance and comply with the appropriate standards of financial governance and integrity.
The role also has Executive responsibility for the procurement and supply chain functions.
About you
You will have tertiary qualifications in business related discipline; primarily Accounting or Finance (including relevant postgrad qualification eg: Master of Business Administration) and a current membership of a recognised Australian professional accounting body.

• Ideally you will have previous experience in the healthcare or not for profit sector
• Ability to promote the Vision, Mission and Values of Mater.
• Demonstrated experience and skills at an Executive Leadership level
• Demonstrated experience and qualifications in a Senior Finance Management role in a complex, large, geographically diverse, commercial environment.
• Demonstrated ability and experience to champion change management
• Demonstrated ability to combine technical, financial and commercial acumen in the delivery of advice and business solutions.
• Proven ability to ensure financial/commercial outcomes with the business operators in line with the corporate strategy.
• Knowledge of public and private funding and partnerships.
• High level facilitation and influencing skills along with strong decision making skills with the ability to set priorities, manage, and implement them.
• Significant, proven experience and skill in developing, establishing and maintaining robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to create, develop and mentor collaborative work environments and teams where trust, integrity and open communication are valued.
