The opportunity…

As a Group Corporate Marketing and Communications Specialist, you will define and execute our corporate communication strategies across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and within our Device Technologies Group. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with all levels of the organisation to drive strategic initiatives and craft innovative communications that resonate across diverse markets, ensuring our messaging reaches and profoundly impacts a broad array of audiences and stakeholders. Your efforts will bolster our reputation as a pioneer and a trusted name in the industry, making a lasting impact on our brand presence.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, energetic go-getter adept at navigating the complexities of a dynamic role. With experience in communications within medium to large organisations, they have a solid background in executing corporate communications strategies, ideally in complex, regulated industries. They are a strategic thinker skilled in aligning communication initiatives with brand and business goals and possess exceptional writing and editing capabilities. Their experience also covers media relations and crisis communication, enhancing brand visibility and managing strategic responses effectively. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organisational skills are essential, enabling them to handle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience required:

  • With at least 3 to 5 years experience in a communications role within a medium to large size organisation.
  • Proven experience in corporate communications – developing and executing corporate comms strategies, preferably in a similar field or in a highly matrixed organisation.
  • Strong strategic thinking – The ability to lead communication initiatives, think strategically about brand and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills. Crafting clear and engaging content across various formats.
  • Media relations experience – proven track record of enhancing brand visibility through media engagement.
  • Crisis communication management – Experience in leading rapid and strategic responses during crisis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time and accurately deliver on time in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies and projects and make data-led decisions.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related field.
