We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Controller to join our team, based in our Fremantle office. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will be responsible for the management, preparation and reporting of financial and performance data for the Group.

Operating across Australia from state-of-the-art processing facilities in Western Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, Craig Mostyn produces fresh pork, lamb, beef, abalone, protein meal and tallow to be distributed to food service, retail and wholesale clients. The Group employs over 1,400 employees throughout Australia.
Your responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain monthly consolidated accounting records for the Group in accordance with agreed timetable
- Prepare the Group consolidated Income Tax and Fringe Benefit Tax returns
- Review monthly BAS returns and quarterly IAS returns for the Group
- Maintain relationships with auditors and tax advisors and answers audit and tax queries
- Reconcile shareholder deposit balances
- Comply with banking covenants and provides necessary reports to the bank on a timely basis
- Conduct analysis on financial and other performance data against budgets and provides feedback to Chief Financial Officer
- Manage cash control for the Group
- Authorise supplier and payroll payments
- Manage the Group accounting system (Adept) and invoice processing system (Esker)
About you
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual who possesses the following:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Group Financial Controller position
- CA/CPA (or international equivalent)
- Advanced IT and excel skills
- Technical and analytical ability with excellent time management
- Active attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Collaboration skills to work both independently and in a team
- Experience in Agriculture and/or food processing – Desirable
