Group Leader, Remanufacturing

The Opportunity:

Based at our Head Office in Para Hills West and reporting to the Remanufacturing Manager, the Group Leader, Remanufacturing is responsible for the provision of ‘hands-on’ leadership that enables the team to deliver; safe, efficient and compliant mechanical & electrical refurbishment and repair services to the Mining Division. This role is responsible for ensuring LAS remanufactured components are delivered; safely, on time, to budget and meet specifications. 

Responsibilities include:

• Provide effective leadership and direction to the Remanufacturing operational team
• Ensure Reman Standards and relevant ISO Standards are met
• Complete QA documentation and NDT requirements
• Manage team’s work- flow
• Manage budgets and forecasts for the group with a focus on Actual vs Standard hours for each team
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure demands are met
• Ensure cost efficient management of allocated resources, equipment and facilities
• Supervise and train new and existing group members
• Manage the allocation of time for the teams to complete TELL training
• Assist in Workers Compensation claims management and rehabilitation 
• Provide reports on all activities of the group’s operations

Skills and qualifications:

• Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical) essential
• Demonstrated <5 years industry experience
• Proven leadership experience with large groups / teams
• Certificate IV Leadership & Management desirable
• Certificate IV Project Management desirable
• MS Project experience highly desirable
• Large excavator / haul truck and mining equipment experience is well regarded
• High level organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously, to collaborate and support wider team
