Role Purpose
The Group ManagerCorporate Affairs role aims to enhance and protect Pilbara Minerals' reputation though engagement with internal and external parties to position the company as an industry leader. The position is pivotal in navigating the company's development path, utilising strategic communications to support Pilbara Minerals’ strategic aims. This involves working closely with the Chief Sustainability Officer and Managing Director to curate a contemporary and distinct company narrative, extending to sustainability endeavours, investor engagement, and broader stakeholder initiatives. It will ensure the company’s milestones and challenges are communicated with precision, swiftness, and impact.
The Group Manager of Corporate Affairs will;
- Lead the creation and execution of the Corporate Affairs strategy, encompassing internal and external stakeholder engagement.
- Foster relationships with government at local, State and Commonwealth level, ensuring a strategic approach to government engagement and positioning Pilbara Minerals on key public and policy development issues.
- Forge and nurture key community stakeholder relationships and oversee community initiatives and programs to support positive economic and social outcomes for priority communities.
- Build a reputation in the community that positively distinguishes Pilbara Minerals from the rest.
- Oversee media relations and develop the company narrative through strategic brand campaigns.
- Lead, manage and grow a small and committed Corporate Affairs team, ensuring consistent, effective service deliver and a culture of agility.
The Successful Candidate:
The ideal applicant will be a strategic and seasoned professional with over 15 years of industry experience, combining extensive knowledge in branding and communication with management expertise. This individual will possess demonstrated influencing skills, essential for building effective internal and external relationships and a proven track record in large-scale corporates, ideally within the ASX 50 or equivalent. Exceptional written communication skills are a must, alongside the ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with various teams across the business. Experience in the Resources Industry and project management is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary in qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- Certifications in Management / Leadership course.
