About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this we are seeking a progressive, energetic leader to drive excellence in our Environment & Regulatory Services Group. As Group Manager you will oversee a team of 38 professionals and play a vital role in leadership team of the Community Planning and environment Division.
On a day-to-day basis, this role will:
- Oversee the daily management of strategic and operational management of the Environment & Regulatory Services Group.
- Coordinate and manage Port Macquarie Hastings Council Animal Shelter.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and safety standards while promoting a safety-first culture among the team.
- Manage service delivery within budgetary constraints.
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement through effective leadership and mentorship, ensuring operational excellence in engineering trades services.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Bachelor qualifications in Environmental Management, Planning or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in contemporary people management and leadership.
- Exhibits attention to detail, knowledge and understanding of compliance and Regulatory process and legislation.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with key stakeholders.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Total Renumeration Package: $195,000 per annum inclusive of base, super and vehicle (leaseback or allowance)
Relocation assistance is available for candidates moving to the region.
