Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Safety, Security & Compliance Manager to join our client's team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will direct the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective strategies to mitigate risk, ensure the safety and security of employees, and maintain operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the Operational Risk, Security, Safety, and Business Continuity programs.
- Conduct safety risk assessments, identify and triage risks, and collaborate on remediation efforts.
- Manage the Quality and Audit programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Drive business resiliency planning, testing, analysis, and communication to ensure business continuity.
- Provide tactical security advice and guidance, including collaborating with Global Real Estate on facility security designs.
- Establish and maintain a Security Advocate program, directing Security Advocates per the Integrated Security Model.
- Ensure compliance with governmental security and safety regulations and requirements.
- Produce specific threat assessments and liaise with external agencies, such as police and law enforcement, to identify current and emerging risks.
- Facilitate the completion of business risk assessments and support the Business in proactively identifying, measuring, and monitoring operational risks.
- Lead and participate in the Australia Risk Committee and contribute to Workcover claims management and 'return to work' strategies.
- Facilitate the management of safety assurance processes and maintain awareness of changes to applicable standards and codes of practice.
- Promote and enhance a safety culture, supporting continual improvement in alignment with the Global Health and Safety Strategy
- Tertiary qualifications in business, safety, risk and compliance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience at a senior level in a commercial environment.
- Extensive understanding of WHS legislation, emergency management, risk management, and compliance.
- Experience with ISO27001, ISO45001, ISO 9001, ISO14001 frameworks.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver best practice outcomes.
- Highly articulate with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in risk management and security systems.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing effective WHS, Security, and Risk management systems.
- Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
