SalaryJoin the team at Onit Gym, a recently re-launched community gym in Epping. We seek a high-qualityGroup Training Coach that can energise our members while providing expert exercise coaching.
- Guaranteed 10+ hours per week (Based on experience and availability)
- Casual/Contract role (Part-time or full-time options can be discussed)
- Personal Training Opportunity* (1:1 or small group - gym access outside group class times) *for the right candidate
- Assist/lead strength, cardio, and hybrid Group Training classes
- Coach Onit Gym members in correct exercise techniques
- Motivate clients to push themselves in each session
- Engage with and get to know our Onit Gym members
- Professionally respond to members’ inquiries and concerns
- Become a member of our community and participate in our social activities
Expectations:
- Be a great communicator, utilising both verbal and non-verbal methods
- Be professional and provide exceptional customer service
- Be an integral part of onboarding new members
- Keep the gym organised during classes
- Ability to use Apps and Bluetooth technology on iPads
- Represent Onit Gym's brand to the best of your ability every day at the gym
- Possess a growth mindset and work as part of a team
Other Tasks/Opportunities:
- Follow up with gym members weekly to keep them motivated and accountable
- Contribute to Onit Gyms’ social media, marketing content and planning.
- Actively seek new members and conduct referral/lead generation.
Mornings 5.15-10.30 am, Monday to Friday
Evenings 5:30 - 8 pm Monday to Thursday
Saturday and Sunday, 6-10 am
About You
“Coaching” is at the heart of our business! Our ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment and want to help our members achieve their goals. Your infectious personality and passion (even obsession - we get it!) for health and fitness will help inspire our members to reach new heights.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Certificate III in Fitness (Ideally Cert IV/Diploma or University Degree)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends
- Australian working rights
- Will need to complete a working with Children Check
- Their own public liability and professional indemnity insurance
Ideally, candidates will:
- Have 2-3 years personal training experience
- Be familiar with Google Work Suite and various business software
- Have experience as a personal trainer or group fitness instructor (or participation in team sport at an elite level)
- Maintain your own fitness registration (AusActive, FITREC or other)
