Qualifications & experience
- A welcoming smile with personality. You need to authentically enjoy working with customers as you are the face of our business.
- Great personal presentation. It is important for us that we provide a memorable and positive experience to all our guests.
- The ability to communicate with a diverse range of people in a professional manner. The ability to initiate contact and build rapport easily with all our guests and stakeholders is essential.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including outstanding phone manner is essential.
- At least one year of experience in hotel reception using Protel Air or a similar operating system.
- Work closely with a small team of guest service professionals to ensure our guests enjoy their stay to the fullest
- Ability to work 22 to 30 hours a week.
- Flexibility to work across a full rotating roster - including evenings and weekends. Our Guest Services Agent shifts are between 7am and 11pm, 7 days a week.
- Completed Responsible Service of Alcohol or willingness to complete course.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Answer, record, and process all guest calls, reservations, emails, requests, questions, or concerns.
- Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.
- Communicate parking procedures to guests and assist guests to the car park garage.
- Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest.
- Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
- Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges.
- Run daily reports on number of arrivals/ departures and ensure reports are accurate.
- Identify any special requests.
- Pour and serve drinks to guests.
