Hairdressing Trainer & Assessor

• Part time position $40.41 p/h & 3 days Classroom based

• Deliver training to various student cohorts

Skillinvest is a not-for-profit Group Training & Registered Training Organisation delivering training in many Industry sectors.

Skillinvest is seeking a Part Time Hairdressing Trainer and Assessor to join our team based in Geelong. The successful applicant is required to deliver training and assess a range of student cohorts, including but not limited to Apprentices and VETiS students. Delivery modes are 'classroom based' training models.

Duties include:

• Prepare and deliver high quality training and assessment to students
• Adjust/develop flexible teaching and learning strategies to best support students individual learning needs
• Create flexible assessment tools according to Workplace conditions and Training Package standards
• Maintain currency of knowledge in relevant training packages and vocational industry
• Develop strong relationships with students, staff, schools and other stakeholders

Requirements:

• Trade Qualified Hairdresser
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Hairdressing industry
• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
• Current Employee Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Strong customer focus & willingness to work as part of a growing team
• Adaptable and able to work in fast-paced environment
