About the Role:
This vacancy is available for either a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist looking to expand their skills in hand therapy.
The Hand Therapist is responsible for providing assessment and treatment services for Hand Therapy adult inpatients and outpatients within Southern Metropolitan Adelaide, which aims to optimise health outcomes.
In this role, you will apply your clinical experience, clinical knowledge, and professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated Hand Therapy services to the needs of clients.
This position works under direct clinical supervision and may provide support and supervision to other Hand Therapy staff, Allied Health Assistants, and students as required.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- An appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Australia;OR:
- An appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Previous experience in Hand Therapy assessment and treatment techniques.
- Demonstrated commitment to improve your personal and professional skills through self-directed learning and evaluation.
- You will need effective communication skills, verbally and written, as well as good time management skills to manage a caseload.
