Bethanie Fields (160 bed) residential aged care home located in Eaton, Bunbury have an exciting opportunity for a Handyperson to join their friendly team.
The role is responsible for ensuring the buildings, plant and equipment and other assets are maintained in a serviceable and safe condition. This position is a permanent part-time role offering 16 hours per week working the following roster pattern:
Monday and Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
About the Role:
A broad range of general maintenance skills, across both building and equipment
Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance requests
Have previous experience managing planned and reactive tasks
Maintain adequate records of all maintenance performed
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
Take initiative, with a ‘can do’ attitude
About you:
Experience in general property maintenance
Ability to communicate with staff and care recipients
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as to work independently
Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health requirements
Literacy and numeracy skills appropriate to perform the role
Basic computer skills
Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
Current A-class drivers’ licence
Willing to receive relevant vaccinations
