A 309-room resort, spanning over 3.5 hectares with significant food & beverage operations, two resort pools and extensive conference facilities, Mercure Gold Coast Resort is an oasis located amongst expansive gardens on the Gold Coast.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this role will be responsible for maintaining the Resort’s buildings to the required standards, while assisting the Engineering team with daily and routine tasks.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:
- Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities,
- Highly responsible and reliable,
- Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously,
- Understanding of the importance of completing tasks in a safe and presentable manner,
- Availability and flexibility to work varied shifts from early mornings to early evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays as per our business demands,
- Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on the property’s facilities and equipment. This includes basic plumbing, electrical, painting and general repairs.
- Inspect areas of the property for safety issues and take corrective action
- Service plant and equipment.
- Perform duties relevant to experience.
- Assist other team members in the completion of duties.
- Assist guests with property facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Comply with safe work practices by following Accor Hotels WHS & Environmental policies.
- Working as part of a highly motivated and skilled team within a 309-room resort, spanning over 3.5 hectares of manicured gardens.
