The Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill is located on the central city fringe, just minutes from the CBD, Brisbane River, Suncorp Stadium and public transport. Overlooking the city skyline and Roma St Parklands, the Hotel features 179 spacious guest rooms with generous open-aired balconies, modern amenities, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, and an alfresco-style restaurant and bar.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be responsible for maintaining the Hotel Building to the required standards, while assisting the Maintenance Manager with daily and routine tasks.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:
- Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities,
- Highly responsible and reliable,
- Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously,
- Understanding of the importance of completing tasks in a safe and presentable manner,
- Availability and flexibility to work varied shifts from early mornings to early evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays as per our business demands,
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on the property’s facilities and equipment. This includes basic plumbing, electrical, painting and general repairs.
- Inspect areas of the property for safety issues and take corrective action
- Service plant and equipment.
- Perform duties relevant to experience.
- Assist other team members in the completion of duties.
- Assist guests with property facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Comply with safe work practices by following Accor Hotels WHS & Environmental policies.
