As the Harvest Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the citrus harvest operations. You will work closely with both the Packhouse and Farm Manager to ensure the efficient harvest across a total of 1700 hectares, considering factors such as fruit maturity, quality, and market demands. Additionally, you'll supervise field teams to meet fruit specifications and quality standards.Furthermore, you will be assisting, with your management team, in managing and rostering a seasonal harvest crew of up to 500 people, across the four properties.Your experience in citrus will allow you to support the seasonal teams in working safely and selecting the right fruit for the destination market.Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing citrus harvest operations across Emerald & Dimbulah
- Weekly reporting on harvest forecasts and volume schedules
- Communicating and implementing harvest schedules and deliveries to the packhouse
- Collaborating with the Packhouse to coordinate fruit deliveries and ensure compliance with maturity and MRL regulations.
- Managing lead supervisors
- Ensuring workforce productivity and quality
- Managing workplace health and safety practices and promoting a healthy work culture
- Varied schedule based on season and location (Aug-Sept peak harvest)
- Up to 60 hours per week (6 days) during peak season (May-Aug)
- Possibility of 6-hour days or 4-day work weeks during off-season (Sep-Nov)

Additionally, you will be adept at motivating a culturally diverse workforce.To be successful in this role, it is important you can address the following –
- Previous experience in Harvest processes and staff management within a high-paced environment
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Proven experience and understanding of fruit quality, quality control and management.
- High level of planning and organisational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently according to schedules.
- Proficiency with computers and technology
- Strong communication and cultural awareness essential
- Prior citrus experience (mandarins preferred)
- Maintenance and pruning experience is a plus
