AddressHarvest Supervisor – June 2024
Ashbern Farms are recruiting for a permanent position based in the Glass House Mountains, working within a successful Queensland horticultural business for an applicant who is responsible, motivated and displays exceptional leadership.
Roles & responsibilities:
1. Supervision of pickers, weigh station operators and haul-out tractor drivers during the harvest season, ensuring work is undertaken according to best practice requirements.
2. Managing the IT system for record keeping and data capture.
3. Ensuring maintenance and hygiene are maintained of equipment and facilities.
4. Communicating with the farm manager and pack shed on quality and volume of fruit.
5. Monitoring crop health, pest and disease outbreaks.
6. Machine operation and maintenance as required during the off season.
7. General Farm duties including irrigation, field setup & shut down as required.
Skills required:
1. Leadership.
2. Basic mechanical ability.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Good Information Technology skills.
5. Experience in Horticulture preferred but not essential.
