Position: Orchard Supervisor

Everest Harvesting is a renowned agricultural labour hire company specializing in horticulture and viticulture industry. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic individual with leadership and supervisor experience to join our team as an Orchard Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of 30 or more casual workers in our apple orchard, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Operate and oversee the use of agricultural machinery including tractors, irrigation sprayers, and cherry pickers.
- Coordinate daily tasks such as picking, pruning, and thinning to maintain orchard productivity and quality standards.
- Uphold safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Maintain regular communication with the HR manager, record keeping of team timesheet and liaise with the farmer to address any operational issues or concerns.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisor experience, preferably in an agricultural setting.
- Full working rights in Australia and residency in the Stathrope region of Queensland.
- Basic writing, computer, and email skills.
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Ability to operate machinery including tractors, irrigation sprayers, and cherry pickers (mandatory requirement).
- Experience working in APPLE FARMing, including picking, pruning, and thinning (preferred but not necessary).
- Physical fitness to lift moderate weights, climb ladders, and perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and effective leadership skills.
