About the role:

A brand new role for the company, ideally based from our Melbourne branch, but this role can work remotely from our Sydney or Brisbane branches. As our new HDD Tooling Specialist, you will focus on supplying our Vermeer drilling customers with the correct HDD tooling for their operations.

You will have the use of a fully stocked vehicle and a chance to make this role your own; utilise your technical background & expertise to be a trusted advisor to our internal & external customers.

The key responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the HDD Tooling Market Growth Strategy that enables profitable sales goals to be achieved.
  • Routinely visit HDD customers on site with vehicles stocked with HDD tooling.
  • Provide support to customers in regards to in-depth, technical product questions.
  • Participate in tactical planning processes to determine core sales & marketing objectives.
  • Promote continued contact with our Vermeer Construction Sales Team to enable a maximum number of returning customers.
  • Engage with our aftermarket management team for trend & growth opportunities, including supporting the inventory team with forecasting needs.
  • Leverage market research, industry, & technology trends while keeping a thorough understanding of the organisational technology needs to drive product development enhancement recommendations.

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Established experience of horizontal-directional drilling techniques and resources
  • Existing business development and sales experience with proven success of new sales opportunities
  • Exceptional customer service skills with professional presentation
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Suite, CRM & sales software systems
  • Current and valid driver's licence

Knowledge of Vermeer machinery is highly regarded and beneficial, but not essential
