Due to continuing growth, we require highly skilled and experienced Water Corporation HDPE Welding Operators to join the team. We provide a professional and safe team environment with opportunity for personal growth and development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PMBWELD 301B Butt-weld Polyethylene Plastic Pipelines
- PMBWELD 302B Electrofusion Weld Polyethylene Pipelines
- PMBWELD 309B Weld Plastic using Extrusion Techniques (Desirable, not essential)
- Current Construction Industry General Safety Induction White Card
- Various Plant and Machinery qualifications (Desirable, not essential)
- Full Class C Driving License or higher
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience with HDPE Welding on Water Corporation works
- Demonstrated knowledge of all plastic welding activities
- Sound knowledge and understanding of quality assurance associated with HDPE pipeline welding (Parameter Cards, handling, Weld traceability)
- Demonstrated ability to follow work practices, policies, procedures, instructions and guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to perform onsite activities to a high standard.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment to ensure that outcomes are achieved.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule tasks to ensure they are performed efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others to achieve results.
- Sound knowledge of relevant processes and procedures including -Workplace Health and Safety obligations
- Sound knowledge and civil construction and maintenance methods.
- Experience on Water Corporation projects desirable, also working around services in the CBD and Metro environments
- The willingness and flexibility to conduct other works other than HDPE Welding
